Irwin Prairie

As a photographer that appreciates nature, it's awesome to see that the ODNR facilitates many preserves that are dedicated for observation of wildlife. Irwin Prairie, located in Lucas county, is a fine example of a preserve maintaining balance between nature and the humans that interact with it. There's a large, open wetland meadow that has several interesting stops along its boardwalk for bird watching and taking a break. This was one of a handful of preserves visited during Ohio Uninterrupted where there were double digits of visitors. If you're ever up in Northwest Ohio, take a quick trip out to Irwin Prairie.
